We are proud to announce that TCNA ASTM / ANSI test results confirm Quemere tile can be used for interior heavy duty commercial applications!!!
The 521 pounds per square foot minimum (lbf) Breaking Strength of Quemere ceramic tile far surpasses the minimum required Breaking Strength for Porcelain Tile of 275lbf (ASTM C648-04 - ANSI A 137.1).
The Abrasion Resistance of Quemere True White Gloss earned the top distinction of Class 5 – Heavy Commercial (ASTM C1027-09 (2107), ANSI A137.1/A137.2).
Quemere Gloss Glaze also earned the highest grade of Class A for chemical resistance to most common household chemical cleaners, acids, and bases. (ASTM C1027-09 (2107), (ANSI A137.1/A137.2).
Results make it comfortable for Quemere to authorize the use of its Gloss and Matte glazed tiles for interior residential applications including all walls, floors, conventional and steam showers, fireplace surroundings, counters and other similar uses. In addition, the light colored glazes can be used for similar commercial uses.
